First, we will compare the technical characteristics of each chair, and then I’ll give you my opinion so that you can decide for yourself.
As you can see, the SecretLab Titan appears to be the better chair.
Indeed, it benefits from a greater maximum load, 286 lbs (130 kg) compared to 242 lbs (110 kg), and 4D armrests (adjustable in height, forwards/backwards, left/right, and sideways) whilst the NeueChair’s armrests are 2D.
The other notable difference is the type of recliner mechanism. On the Titan, it is a conventional mechanism, simply put, the backrest tilt is independent of the seat tilt.
On the NeueChair the mechanism is much more complex, as on most high-end ergonomic chairs. As a result, the tilt is reduced.
The lumbar support on the NeueChair is adjustable in depth and height, making it an excellent back support. The Titan’s can’t be moved up.
So you can see that these are two extremely different chairs in design. This difference added a lot of nuance to the comparison and to my final impression during the tests.

That’s the question you really want to know the answer to. Here it is.
I preferred the SecretLab Titan to the NeueChair in terms of comfort. That’s not to say that the NeueChair is uncomfortable.
In fact, the “problem” is that the seat forces you to keep your back straight otherwise it’s quite unpleasant.
You can’t recline on it like you can on the Titan, so I found the chair less comfortable.
That said, if you want to maintain a good working posture, then the chair is wonderful. The Titan will not correct you and will let you sit how you want.
I found that I was able to concentrate better on my work when I was sitting on it.
I also noticed an increase in my productivity.
This may be a strong argument for some of you.
Secretlab Titan vs NeueChair: Which has the best build quality?
The NeueChair impressed me with the chrome look of the aluminium bars which really gives the chair a certain elegance. However, some parts are not on the same level, especially those in plastic.
They’re not cheap, but they don’t look premium either. It’s a bit of a shame, it would have increased the high-end look of the chair.
The SecretLab Titan also has an impeccable build quality. The fact that the seat is completely covered with foam and coating means that there is not much plastic within sight.
The other point to emphasise is the quality of the NeueChair’s mechanisms. None of them creak or squeak when used.
So which should you choose?
Personally, I preferred to keep my SecretLab Titan rather than exchange it for the NeueChair. This is because I use my chair to do other things than work.
But the NeueChair is definitely an office chair, making it easy to concentrate and work efficiently. It is designed to support your back and improve your overall posture. Which is fine.

Otherwise, if you want a more comfortable experience, go for the SecretLab Titan or Titan Evo 2022.
