Vertagear Gaming Chairs: The Best Models (& Which To Buy)
Even though I feel like an expert in the field of gaming chairs, I must admit - I first found out about the brand called Vertagear two years ago.
Even though I feel like an expert in the field of gaming chairs, I must admit - I first found out about the brand called Vertagear two years ago.
However, that is not necessarily a bad thing, knowing that the Vertagear gaming chairs were brought to life in 2015. As the brand notes, the chairs were designed in 2015 by a mixture of computer hardware veterans, furniture specialists, designers as well as gamers – all combined in the brand’s expertise with a mission to develop products that tailor to the exact needs of the gaming community.
I must say, the Vertagear gaming chairs are really nice. They have the features that will make you feel special. Their products truly offer a great value for money – especially considering the fact that the Vertagear chairs are not too much expensive.
When it comes to the actual features of these chairs, I would like to list them out below:
Below, we are starting with the Vertagear gaming chairs review. At this point, you should know that there are two main series manufactured by the brand – the Vertagear Racing Series (chairs that can be used in both office and gaming scenarios) and the Vertagear Gaming Series (100% gaming chairs).
The best way to generally describe the Vertagear Racing Series is as a line that is mainly designed for gaming – but can also be adapted in any work scenario. As the manufacturer itself describes it, this series is designed to “elevate your gaming experience” and fit to your preferences and movements, giving you the personal comfort that you deserve.
There are two verticals of the Vertagear Racing Series – the S-Line (SL) models and the P-Line (PL) models. Below, we are starting with the S-Line model reviews.
The Vertagear SL2000 Pink Gaming Chair is a bold, vibrant seating solution designed for gamers, offering a striking mix of deep blue and pink colors and a robust feature set. It comes with a PUC leather finish, an aluminum base, adjustable armrests, and reclining angle between 80° and 140°, providing both style and comfort during extended gaming sessions.
The Vertagear SL2000 is the entry-level chair in its S-Line (Racing) Series – coming in even 11 different color combinations and including some nice features.
Speaking of, this chair has a steel frame and an Ultra Premium HR Resilience Foam which is quite adaptive, a reinforced 5-star base which is constructed from a heavy duty aluminum alloy and a custom racing stylist caster that is coated with PU for soft and smooth gliding on any surface. In terms of extras, this model includes additional memory foam headrest pillow and lumbar support cushion.
Generally, it is great for any gaming or office setup and can handle guys up to 300 lbs. The cons are primarily oriented towards its wheels (not so top-notch in terms of quality) and the fact that the seat may be narrow for bigger dudes.
Elevate your gaming setup with the Vertagear SL4000, an enhanced model offering elegance and comfort with a one-person “slide-in” assembly. This chair features unique 4D cushioned armrests and supports gamers up to 5’11” and 200lbs, complete with headrest and lumbar cushions.
As an upgrade from the SL2000 model, the Vertagear SL4000 has the same features as the previous model – but only comes in six different color combinations. However, the exterior of this model looks more elegant and there is a “slide-in” design which creates a quick one-person installation process.
The armrests are quite better in this model as they are uniquely cushioned and contoured to the shape of the arm – adjustable in up to 4 directions. The set of extras is the same as the model above (headrest pillow and lumbar cushion) – but this chair can apparently handle guys that are up to 5’11” in terms of height and up to 200lbs. in terms of weight.
The Vertagear SL5000, a pinnacle of the S-Line Series, boasts durability with its high-quality PVC leather. Offered in four color schemes, it mirrors the SL4000’s features, plus improved materials. Its 4D armrests and patent-pending assembly enhance comfort and convenience for any gamer.
As the “father” of the S-Line Series, the SL5000 is not too expensive – and not much more expensive than the previous models in this series. It comes in four main color combinations and has all the features of the SL4000 model – plus a high-quality PVC leather which is the reason why this model seems to be most durable of all in the SL series.
Again, the Vertagear SL5000 is designed to contour to the shape of the arm and be adjustable in four different directions. It includes an effortless assembly with a patent-pending mechanical structure (which requires no more than one person to assemble) as well as custom racing stylist casters (wheels) coated with PU for soft and smooth gliding on different surfaces.
It is safe to say that the P-Line of Vertagear looks more like gaming chairs that are specifically designed for gaming. However, you can still gear up with a Vertagear PL gaming chair for your office – even though these models are more aggressively designed and catering to the need of gamers worldwide.
Below, we are reviewing the two P-Line (PL) gaming chair models from this series.
The Vertagear PL4500 is a gaming chair, recognized for its distinct aesthetic and a few innovative features such as the use of Coffee Fiber material in the upholstery and optional RGB lighting kits. While having a substantial weight capacity and adjustability, it has faced criticism regarding its build quality and comfort, particularly considering its price point.
To be honest, I do not see this chair being bought too much or reviewed too much online. However, that doesn’t mean that it is not well-enough for most gamers. In fact, I personally find the Vertagear PL4500 to be a solid upgrade from the S-Line series.
Designed with functionality and guaranteeing comfort, it has a special padding and silver lining featured all around it, providing excellent odor control and anti-bacterial properties – which is definitely something that needs to be addressed to gamers out there.
In short, it includes chair, pillow and lumbar support, as well as unique casters. As an upgrade, you can choose the RGB/LED kit and have your chair glow in the dark (which is really amazing).
Edit : Here is the complete review of the PL4500.
The Vertagear PL6000 is a premium gaming chair optimized for larger individuals, offering a harmonious blend of comfort and sophisticated features.
With a maximum weight capacity of 200 kg / 440 lbs and enriched with superior ergonomic features, this chair is a symbol of durability and comfort.
It is particularly noteworthy for its breathability, courtesy of its perforated, breathable PVC leather, ensuring a cool experience during prolonged gaming sessions.
If I have to pick any Vertagear gaming chair from the PL Series, I will confidently pick this one. If you are wondering why, well there are a couple of things.
First, I am in love with the design – especially the black/camouflage shade. There are eight designs in total which are really neat – imagine sitting in the black/camouflage PL6000 chair while playing Call Of Duty WW2?
On top of the design, this chair amazes me with its industrial-strength and heavy-duty material. As such, it can handle guys up to 200 kilograms (440 lbs.) – all thanks to its steel frame and solid metal. This also makes the Vertagear PL6000 the highest-rated weight limit next to the Titan Evo Series (395 lbs. capacity).
The assembly is again “slide-in” which makes it easy, there are cushions contouring to your body and a ultra premium resilience foam as all of the previous models.
The Vertagear PL1000 is an affordable gaming chair designed to offer valuable features and a sturdy build for gamers on a budget. The gaming chair is built with an all-metal body, ensuring durability and robustness, while also offering firm seat and back support. Though it holds an allure with its price-performance ratio and quick, smart assembly, it does bear some noteworthy downsides particularly in aspects of comfort and armrest construction.
The Vertagear PL1000 is a new model that is very easy to assemble and shouldn’t require more than 20 minutes. It is based on a five-star wheel base that is made of metal, has a solid steel frame and is capable of holding a decent amount of weight (up to 110kg) which makes it a good choice for many gamers.
The design of the chair is good, making it look durable and aesthetic. Vertagear used PUC (a mix of PVC and PU faux leather) which blends the best of the softness and durability. The seat base is made of dual layer hybrid foam that contours as you sit, providing firmness and support.
Structurally, this Vertagear gaming chair feels like it would last for a long time. It is made of quality materials and has a headrest pillow that is pleasant to use, whether you are sitting or reclining on the chair.
The only negative that we can point out are the 1D armrests, which can only adjust up and down and lack more features. They also look a bit weird and unnatural for the arms, which is why you may have struggles with them.
Still, the PL1000 is a modern-looking chair that comes at a relatively affordable price.
I admit it – I did not know the actual difference of the Racing (SL and PL) and the Gaming (Triigger) Series by Vertagear – up until I sat in these chairs.
And from the moment I sat in the Gaming Series chairs, I realized something….
The Vertagear Gaming Series are probably one of the most undervalued gaming chairs out there – and one of the top-designed Series in terms of comfort, functionality and most of all, the complexity of their design.
What I am most amazed from is the paddle shifters that are positioned right under the armrests (just like in the Formula 1 models) and are used to adapt the chair to your needs and change the sitting positions for the ultimate comfort.
Below, I am reviewing the two models from the Vertagear Gaming Series – the Triigger 275, Triigger 350 and Triigger 350 Special Edition models.
The Vertagear Triigger 275 combines comfort and longevity, featuring reinforced DuPont TPEE Mesh and a robust steel alloy frame. Its adjustability and calfskin leather accents cater to discerning gamers seeking a premium sitting experience.
The Vertagear Triigger 275 is an entry-level gaming chair in this collection – but also a rival to some of the best gaming chairs out there. It uses a reinforced DuPont TPEE Mesh that keeps the retention and prolongs the lifespan of the mash.
On top of this, it is designed from steel alloy with silicon and manganese that maintains perfect balance when reclining. Ideal for gamers, this chair has an adjustable seat height, backrest height, depth as well as lower back support. Also, the calfskin leather used all around it is a great touch from the manufacturer.
The Vertagear Triigger 350 stands out with its breathable netted backrest and a unique trigger adjustment system for height and incline, housed within a durable aluminum and steel alloy frame, ensuring both comfort and stability.
A great thing about the Triigger Series in overall is the fact that the backrest is quite transparent and uses a net – instead of the normal fully-padded design. That said, the chair actually breathes and is quite comfortable for all gamers.
Just like every model in this Gaming Collection, the Triigger 350 comes with a 10-year warranty and is built from an aluminum alloy (frame and base) as well as steel alloy in the mechanism. There is a trigger adjusting (hence the name of the model) that lets you adjust the height and incline with a single touch right under the armrest.
The Dual Spring Hub contains over 80 individual components that include shafts, blocks, shields, brackets, fasteners and everything this chair needs to give you optimal comfort and stability.
The Vertagear Triigger 350 stands out with its breathable netted backrest and a unique trigger adjustment system for height and incline, housed within a durable aluminum and steel alloy frame, ensuring both comfort and stability.
The Vertagear Triigger 350 Special Edition comes with optional headrest and is certainly one of the most expensive gaming chairs out there. However, the fancy paintjob, calfskin leather and amazing mechanisms (and overall technology in this chair) make it a serious contender for the ‘best gaming chair’ award.
The red and black model is amazing and the colors really pop. With all the technology from the Triigger 350 model plus a neat finish, great design and a DuPont TPEE mesh, the frame on this chair is built from aluminum alloy and comes with an “automotive grade” paint applied – which is why it is labeled as a ‘Special Edition’ gaming chair. On top of everything, the chair is really light and weighs in at 55lbs (25 kilograms).
Now that you saw and read my review about all of the Vertagear gaming chairs out there, you probably see that this brand has organized all of its chair technology and designs nicely – in two main categories and two sub-categories.
It is apparent that the Racing models are more popular on the market – particularly the SL (S-Line) Series – which is mostly because of their quite affordable price and solid build.
That said, if you are new to gaming chairs and new to Vertagear, I personally recommend you to choose a model from the S-Line (SL) Series and get the best value for your money.
If you are big and tall (and quite bulky), my advice is to choose a model from the P-Line (PL) Series as the more durable and stable line for bigger guys. Particularly, the Vertagear PL6000 Gaming Chair is what bigger gamers fancy, mostly because of its amazing weight capacity of 450 lbs.
And if you have decided to take things up a notch, open up your wallet more and choose a gaming chair that comes with a great (10-year) warranty, an amazing technology and exceptional design, it is clear that you should opt out for the Triigger Series as a collection that is truly marketing itself on behalf of Vertagear’s name.
As always, I hope this review helped you choose the best Vertagear gaming chair – or at least see what you could be missing on any of these models.
