SecretLab Titan SoftWeave Review: Is Softer Better?

5.0 rating

We don’t see a lot of “softer” versions of gaming chairs nowadays. However, the new update by Secretlab and its Titan Series introduces a new version of the best gaming chair on the market – which feels softer and revamped.

Note: Review sample provided by SecretLab.

Ever since I saw the SoftWeave version, I figured that it would be a good idea to try the chair and do a thorough review of all of its features. If you are not much into reading right now, here is a quick summary of what you should know about the Secretlab Titan SoftWeave gaming chair…

Quick Summary

Known for their amazing fabrics, Secretlab made some waves when they introduced SoftWeave – a fabric that is softer and revolutionary in many ways. The mesh-based SoftWeave upholstery option proved that the brand is trying to revolutionize the game once again. All I can say about the fabric and gaming chair itself is that it is highly durable, amazing looking and made for different types of users.

Aside from its premium looks, it is also the softest upholstery that I have ever touched, offering great breathability and easy-to-clean features. If you are thinking between the SoftWeave Fabric versus the Prime PU Leather, I recommend you choosing the SoftWeave option as the best top-up that money can buy for this amazing gaming chair.

And if you want to know more about the exact features and specs on the SoftWeave Secretlab Titan, let’s dive into the details.

A Few Words About The SoftWeave Fabric

The Titan Softweave Series comes in a regular looking cardboard box and does not make that much of a difference compared to the original gaming chair. Obviously, the actual difference lies in the fabric and a couple of other parts.

Speaking of, the new material is a mix of a lightweight and breathable blend of fabric that was designed by Secretlab itself. It comes in two different color options – the one I got was the Charcoal Blue version.

The base of the chair is made of a special aluminum mix, which is advertised as immune to corrosion and rust. Overall, the chair feels very sturdy and well built.

A special note goes to the assembly manual which provides pictures for every step. And if that is too little of information for you, Secretlab also made full videos of the assembly process on their YouTube channel. So, putting the chair is an actual breeze.

Overall Features Of The Secretlab Titan SoftWeave Chair

The SecretLab Titan SoftWeave gaming chair mimics all of the features that the actual Titan 2020 Series has – which has already been reviewed on our website. (link)

If you are lazy to follow that link, you should know that the Titan is a gaming chair that has a tilt and tilt-locking mechanism, a reclining backrest area, 4D adjustable armrests, a sturdy 5 point base and a variety of height adjustments. The lumbar support also comes built-in to the chair and there is a neck pillow as a nice finishing touch to this chair.

As a supremely well-built chair, the Secretlab SoftWeave adds a premium material and supports gamers weighing up to 130 kilograms (286 lbs).

Secretlab Titan Softweave Series Vs. Prime PU Leather: Which One to Choose?

See it

My vote goes to the SoftWeave Fabric, which is soft and makes the chair a lot more comfortable.

If you are a gamer who appreciates a great material to sit on, the SoftWeave is definitely a no-think option. And if you care to think, you should only think of the cost – the SoftWeave version is more expensive and only fits users with deeper pockets.

Which Color Choices Can You Choose For The SoftWeave Fabric?

See it

If you opt for this version, you should know that your choice is limited in terms of colors. As I mentioned before, there are two options:

  • Cookies & Cream SoftWeave Titan gaming chair and
  • Charcoal Blue SoftWeave Titan gaming chair (which is the version I tested).

I don’t know about you, but the charcoal blue looks a lot better to me (coming from the perspective of a male gamer). Perhaps women and girl gamers will find the other option as a better choice for their needs.

At the same time, the limited color choice is a little bit disappointing – especially if you compare the Secretlab Titan SoftWeave to the original Secretlab Titan 2020 Series which comes in at least a dozen of other color options.

Final Words

All in all, the Secretlab Titan SoftWeave is hands down the gold standard in the category of gaming chairs with premium fabric.

Aside from my likes, the chair has practically everything you need – a perfect structure, great balance, number of adjusting features and exceptional upholstery designed to breath and prevent any sweat coming from your sweatpants.

If you like the colors (and find your favorite) and don’t like synthetic leather, it is definitely the best gaming chair on the market right now – and a model that I am happy to review with a 10 out of 10.
