Looking at this comparison between the two chairs, on paper the ErgoChair 2 seems to be a better chair than the Secretlab Titan.
Indeed, the strength of the ErgoChair 2 is in the numerous adjustments you can make (except for the armrests).
On the ErgoChair 2, you can have more freedom to adjust your chair. For example on the Titan you cannot adjust the seat depth, which is possible on the ErgoChair 2.
The lumbar support has more adjustement on the ErgoChair than on the Titan. You can change its height and place it in the right position.
Finally, the ErgoChair can support up to 159 kg compared to “only” 130 kg for the Titan.
After reading this short comparison you probably think that the ErgoChair 2 is better than the Titan.
It’s not that simple because there are other parameters to take into account.
Secretlab Titan Vs ErgoChair 2 : Which one is more comfortable ?
In terms of comfort, the two are relatively similar.
That said, the sensation when sitting on the Titan is more pleasant than on the ErgoChair.
This is mainly due to the ErgoChair’s coating which is a bit rough and not very pleasant to the touch. Clearly it is better to be dressed to sit on it.
The PU leather covering and also the Softweave Fabric of the Secretlab titan are really more pleasant to the touch.
Moreover the fact that the seat is padded, gives a pleasant feeling of envelopment in my opinion.
Finally, the armrests are very stiff on the ErgoChair 2. The covering they used is not soft or cushy at all. They just put hard plastic with nothing to soften the contact, even a little bit.
Resting my elbows on the ErgoChair 2 was less pleasant than on the Titan.
Which one is most ergonomic?
Where the ErgoChair 2 shines is in its ergonomics.
I already mentioned it in my NeueChair review, but basically, the chair forces you to adjust it correctly and maintain an optimal working position.
So it will take a little time to get used to it, and find out what works well for you.
That’s not to say that the Titan isn’t ergonomic, far from it, but the ErgoChair has more adjustments.
Which one is the sturdiest ?
Honestly, both are extremely well made. I have personally been using the Titan for over 2 years and I still have no problems with it. The Secretlab Titans come with a 5 year warranty.
And the ErgoChair 2 gave us a very good impression in terms of sturdiness. It is guaranteed for 2 years.
The only thing to watch out for would be the seat padding, and the mesh backrest that can loosen up over the years.
Other than that, I don’t think you have anything to worry about no matter which chair you choose.
Verdict: Which one should you choose?
If you like the gamer/racing style, and you want to have a gaming chair with a great choice of colors available, I can only recommend the Titan.
The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 is the latest gaming chair in the renowned Titan Evo series, known for its impeccable build quality, comfort, and ergonomic design.
It is in my opinion the best gaming chair you can buy.
That said, the ErgoChair is a great office chair at a very reasonable price.
Indeed, the ErgoChair 2 is slightly cheaper than the Titan. And when it is on sale, the price can go down to well under $400.
Which is never the case for the Secretlab…
This is a significant argument in favor of the ErgoChair 2.
If you are not interested in the racing style or the exotic colors, you should definitely get an ErgoChair 2.
