The BestOffice High Back Gaming Chair was created with the gamer in mind. Advertised as easy to assemble, it can certainly be a blessing to have a chair that doesn’t take hours or multiple people to put together.
For less than 100 dollars, you get a chair built to last with a heavy-duty base. Since the base and armrests are usually the first things to break on a gaming chair, it’s nice to see that BestOffice has designed something that at least eliminates one of those issues.
The armrests are fixed and somewhat basic, but they have a little bit of padding on the top for some comfort. Most budget chairs forego armrest comfort to cut back on costs. Speaking of comfort, the BestOffice High Back Gaming Chair has a padded backrest and seat. These, along with a lumbar support pillow and headrest pillow, look to provide hours of comfortable sitting.
The chair is quite basic in its approach and offers no footrest. It has a little bit of height adjustability, but the chair has no recline feature. It leans back to about 135° when a little bit of lounging is required.
Although there’s no overt mention of any warranty, BestOffice does advertise a customer guarantee. If you’re not 100% satisfied with the chair, you can reach out, and the company claims they will make it right. If this holds true, that’s a feature to have just in case.
BestOffice High Back Gaming Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Solid base design
- Padding and pillows designed with comfort in mind
- Customer guarantee
- Padded armrests
- Easy to assemble
Cons:
- No recline feature
- No footrest
- Limited adjustability

The Furmax High-Back Gaming Office Chair really has the look of a sleek gaming chair, especially with its all-black model. This color happens to be the only one currently under our $100 price limit anyway.
The backrest and seat are a bit light on the padding, but this is often an area where you’ll see cost reduction measures to keep the price down. The Furmax High-Back Gaming Office Chair comes with a headrest pillow and lumbar support pillow to boost comfort.
Budget chairs such as the Furmax typically use faux leather (often listed as PU leather) to save on the cost front. From my experience, this faux leather feels similar to the real thing and holds up well to wear and tear over time.
The armrests on the Furmax are fixed, even when the chair leans back to its advertised 180° angle for resting. The armrests can get in the way and become a nuisance when leaning back to watch TV or rest. They do move up and down with the chair as it covers its extensive 5.5 inch range of height adjustment.
Furmax High-Back Gaming Office Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- 300 pound weight capacity
- Sleek chair design
- Reclines to 180°
- Wide range of height adjustment
Cons:
- Padding is on the thin side
- Base is made of nylon
- Armrests can get in the way while reclining
Polar Aurora Gaming Racing Style Chair

Specs and Features
Weight: 42 pounds |
Seat Height Adjustment: 4 inch adjustment range |
Seat Width: 19.8 inches |
Maximum Weight: 300 pounds |
Chair Upholstery Material: PULeather |
Reclining Angle: 90° to 160° |
Fixed Armrests |
5-Wheel Nylon Base |
Comes with a back and head cushion |
Steel Frame |
The Polar Aurora Gaming Racing Style Chair comes with a steel frame under all its padding to provide a durable backrest and seat. Unfortunately, the gaming chair falls short with its plastic base. While still rated for 300 pounds, it certainly does not look like it would survive that kind of weight.
The Polar Aurora does have the ability to lean as far back as 160° when a nap is in order. Since the armrests do not decline with the chair, you’re limited to letting your arms dangle off the sides if you don’t want to rest them on your stomach. In fact, the armrests do not move at all, so you’ll have to hope their height works well enough for your build.
Your height should not be an issue, though, as the Polar Aurora Gaming Racing Style Chair can raise up to four inches from its base height. These four inches should be able to accommodate most people.
By the looks of things, the chair appears to have a low center of gravity. This helps it move safely over different surfaces without risk of tipping over. The padding is what you would expect from an under $100 chair but looks comfortable enough with the inclusion of the headrest pillow and lumbar support pillow.
Polar Aurora Gaming Racing Style Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good range of height adjustability
- 300 pound weight limit
- Impressive range of recline
- Low center of gravity
Cons:
- Armrests do not move
- Plastic base
shuanghu Gaming Chair

Specs and Features
Weight: 35 pounds |
Seat Height Adjustment: 4 inch adjustment range |
Seat Width: 21 inches |
Maximum Weight: 300 pounds |
Chair Upholstery Material: PULeather |
Reclining Angle: 90° to 150° |
Fixed Armrests |
5-Wheel Nylon Base |
Comes with a back and head cushion |
Steel Frame |
The shuanghu Gaming Chair comes in four different colors to compliment the black seat and backrest. These bold colors do make the chair really stand out in the room.
The cushioning on the back and seat is sufficient for gaming hours, and the headrest pillow and lumbar support pillow offer extra support. The shuanghu Gaming Chair’s metal frame is also designed with ergonomics in mind so you can rest or game comfortably.
The armrests are fixed and feature no adjustability. They are lightly padded on the top to give a little comfort when you’re sitting up and working or gaming. The armrests don’t do a lick of good once you start to recline the chair.
The shuanghu Gaming Chair does allow for some adjustment, so you can find a spot when you’re most comfortable. Four inches of height adjustment is a generous range for any style of chair, and an incline of up to 150° is a nice bonus.
Shuanghu states the chair is easy to assemble, and that certainly appears the case. Like most other budget chairs, it does not come with anything to rest your feet on. This feature can be added on to the chair, but this pushes the price over our $100 limit.
shuanghu Gaming Chair Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- Ergonomic frame design
- 300 pound weight limit
- Easy assembly
- Bold colors
- Good options for adjustability
Cons:
- Fixed armrests
- No footrest
- Plastic base

Footrest |
The Homall Gaming Chair with Footrest is unique on this list for being the only chair under $100 with a footrest. The footrest is a basic design that slides out from under the chair and slides back in when not in use. It doesn’t extend out far enough when sitting upright for gaming or typing, but it is a nice bonus when watching TV or catching some shuteye.
This chair has an average range of height adjustment at just over three inches. It easily reclines to 160°, which works well for naps. This level of recline is also where the footrest really comes in handy. The two levers for adjustment are located on the bottom of the chair on the right side.
Furthermore, the chair is constructed with a high-density sponge material that is plenty flexible but quickly bounces back to its standard shape when not in use. In addition to the two comfort pillows and the steel frame, this sponge is able to provide hours of comfort.
It comes as no surprise that the armrests are not adjustable in this model. Even so, the Homall Gaming Chair is made with easy assembly in mind. With a bit of luck, you’ll be using it for gaming in under 15 minutes. The chair has a 350 pound weight limit, and the metal 5-wheel base helps to support that.
Homall Gaming Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Footrest
- Quick and easy to assemble
- High 350 pound weight limit
- High-density sponge fabric
- Cool colors
Cons:

Homall Height Swivel Ergonomic Executive Chair

Specs and Features
Weight: 40 pounds |
Seat Height Adjustment: 3 inch adjustment range |
Seat Width: 20.5 inches |
Maximum Weight: 300 pounds |
Chair Upholstery Material: PULeather |
Reclining Angle: 90° to 170° |
Fixed Armrests |
5-Wheel Heavy-Duty Metal Base |
Comes with a back and head cushion |
Steel Frame |
The Homall Height Swivel Ergonomic Executive Chair is given executive status, possibly because of the rubber casters that are designed to roll quietly over surfaces in an office setting. It’s nice to see the heavy-duty metal alloy base, which is much more durable than budget chairs that only have a plastic one.
Reclining almost flat at 170°, the Homall Height Swivel Ergonomic Executive Chair works well for naps between meetings or gaming sessions. The chair has a low center of gravity, but seeing how off-balance the chair looks when nearly flat may cause some concern.
This chair runs pretty standard in most of its other features, with three inches of adjustment on the height and a maximum weight of 300 pounds. Carbon fiber faux leather and the ergonomic steel frame give the chair a durable look.
Unsurprisingly, the armrests are fixed and not adjustable in any way. It’s hard to find a chair under $100 with this feature anyway. Although the armrests don’t bode well when it comes to support, the chair does have the standard headrest pillow and lumbar support pillow. These pillows, along with an adequate amount of padding on the seat and back, should have you sitting comfortably for hours.
Homall Height Swivel Ergonomic Executive Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Rubber casters for quiet movement
- Heavy-duty metal base
- Deep reclining angle
- Durable materials
- Stable design
Cons:
- Fixed armrests
- No padding on armrests
OFM ESS Collection High-Back Gaming Chair

Specs and Features
Weight: 40 pounds |
Seat Height Adjustment: 5 inch adjustment range |
Seat Width: 23 inches |
Maximum Weight: 275 pounds |
Chair Upholstery Material: PULeather |
Reclining Angle: Tilt |
Fixed Armrests |
5-Wheel Metal Base |
Steel Frame |
The OFM ESS Collection High-Back Gaming Chair boasts a thick 3.5 inches of padding on the seat. Although it has no headrest pillow, there’s an extra layer of padding built-in to the backrest for your head. Of course, this means it’s not adjustable. All that padding makes for a comfortable gaming session, but the noticeable lack of a lumbar support pillow can wear on the lower back over time.
All that fabric comes in a breathable mesh fabric coupled with faux leather. The chair’s solid metal base with 5 wheels offers support and durability. The steel frame adds extra ergonomics and helps this high-back gaming chair hold up to 275 pounds.
The dimensions on the OFM ESS Collection High-Back Gaming Chair look good as well. It sits quite wide, with 23 inches of width on the seat and over two feet along the base. In conjunction with the chair’s high back, this width makes it possible for most people to sit comfortably.
There’s not too much in the way of adjustability, though. The OFM ESS Collection High-Back Gaming Chair does have upwards of five inches of height adjustability but has no recline. It does allow for a slight tilt, but don’t expect to lay back.
The armrests are fixed to the chair and aren’t able to move on their own. The curved design and layer of padding do give some added comfort.
OFM ESS Collection High-Back Gaming Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Wide seat
- Metal 5-wheel base
- 3.5 inches of seat padding
- Armrests are curved and padded
- Durable steel frame
- Wide base offers ample support
Cons:
- No lumbar support pillow
- Integrated headrest cannot move
- Fixed armrests
Best Choice Multipurpose 360-Degree Swivel Gaming Floor Chair

Specs and Features
Weight: 17 pounds |
Seat Height Adjustment: None |
Seat Width: 18 inches |
Maximum Weight: 300 pounds |
Chair Upholstery Material: Polyester |
Reclining Angle: Tilt |
Fixed Armrests |
Circular Base |
Steel Frame |
Foldable |
The Best Choice Multipurpose 360-Degree Swivel Gaming Floor Chair allows you to sit comfortably on the floor while you catch a show or play your favorite game. Because it has no wheels and sits only 10.5 inches from the ground, this isn’t a good design for use with a computer at a desk.
The cover is a soft polyester material that is removable for cleaning. Armrests are fixed but covered in soft foam. All the padding protects a durable steel frame that can handle up to 300 pounds of weight. There is an adjustable back cushion to get that necessary lumbar support.
Even without wheels, the chair’s base covers the full 360 degrees of rotation. There is no height adjustment, but the chair does have the ability to lean forward or backward to find the most comfortable spot to relax.
When finished using the chair, it quickly folds in half. At just 17 pounds, it’s easy to pick up and store away when not in use. This also means the Best Choice Multipurpose 360-Degree Swivel Gaming Floor Chair ships fully assembled to your house with no work required on your part.
Best Choice Multipurpose 360-Degree Swivel Gaming Floor Chair Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Foldable for easy storage
- Comes fully assembled
- Machine washable polyester
- Very lightweight
- Padded armrests
Cons:
- No wheels
- Limited adjustability
- Sits low to the ground
Final Recommendation
For the price you’re paying, all of these chairs have some pretty impressive functionality. Sure, you’ll get more by spending more, but if $100 is all you have, you want to make it count.
After spending a lot of time poring over these chairs, I do feel comfortable making a recommendation. All the chairs have comparable pricing, so I didn’t factor that into my choice.
That being said, if you’re going to buy one of these chairs, go with the Homall Height Swivel Ergonomic Executive Chair.
At 40 pounds, it is slightly heavy, but this is well within the range of your average gaming chair. The 20.5 inch seat width is big enough for most people, and three inches of height adjustment is generous.
I really enjoy the chair’s look, and I feel it would fit in nicely with the decor of most homes. It’s made with ergonomics in mind, has decent padding, and the lumbar support and headrest pillows increase the comfort level.
Best of all, the steel frame and the heavy-duty metal base tell me that the chair is durable enough to last the test of time. Chairs with plastic bases tend to crack and break easily, and the chair is useless if that happens.
