I am often intrigued to see brands that offer gaming chairs coming in a “hybrid” form. If you don’t get what I mean by this, it’s simple.
A brand that designs gaming chairs for both gaming and office use is the typical example of a “hybrid” brand. And even though I don’t want to characterize MaxNomic as a brand of that caliber, that was the first impression that I got from the MaxNomic gaming chairs.
What I also noticed was that the official website comes under a tag and slogan named NEEDforSEAT®. In other words, the unique Maxnomic gaming chairs are sold by a dealer with this name, where you can get introduced to these chairs in a better way and get to see if they are worth their price tag.
Speaking of price tags, it is safe to say that the typical MaxNomic gaming chair won’t cost you more than $400. The good thing, however, is that there is a whole variety of different models and amazing chairs – whether you judge them “amazing” by their design, structural integrity or any specific purpose.
As a manufacturer, MaxNomic is pretty transparent – offering friendly and competent support, risk-free shopping and a warranty of 2 years, which is in line with its competitors. When it comes to the high-performance seating….
While the price point is generally between $300 and $400 for every MaxNomic chair, these gaming chairs are pretty universal, yet different in terms of their design. Below, I am listing all of the different products.
MaxNomic Gaming Chairs Review: High-Performance Seating At Affordable Prices
As we already mentioned, the MaxNomic gaming chairs are manufactured by NEEDforSEAT, which ironically sounds a lot like the “Need For Speed” gaming franchise, putting a new hint on the models and how they relate to the overall comfort in gaming.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that NEEDforSEAT also designs various lines of gaming clothes and various gaming accessories. With the production of gaming chairs, their goal is to unify the entire line and provide gamers an all-in-one brand experience.
The MaxNomic chairs come in four main stylings:
- Casual Sport (S) – This is the most affordable and basic-level gaming chair with sporty looks and a nice ergonomic comfort.
- Pro Gaming and Office (M) – This product model offers enhanced seating comfort without a compromise on its sporty looks – and is the most popular choice for the Esports partners.
- Office-Comfort (L) – This is an elegant form of an “executive chair” that comes with thicker foam padding, a longer seat base and adjustable lumbar support, which is why it is ideal for extended periods of use.
- XL Series (XL) – This is the largest series of gaming chairs by the company – built for big and tall players with maximum comfort in mind.
Wondering what do the letters (S, M, L, and XL) mean?
Simply put, every chair model caters to different sizes of gamers. The Casual Sport is for the tiniest (Small) of gamers, the Pro Gaming and Office model is for the ones looking for a Medium size, the Office-Comfort line best suits the Large category while the XL Series offers the largest seating base from MaxNomic.
Just like we hinted in the beginning, you can see that half of the gaming chair models by MaxNomic are actually “hybrids” and products that cater to both gaming and office work.
Casual Sport (S) Gaming Chair Series By MaxNomic: Affordable And Ergonomic
- Height capacity: 5’0” to 5’9”
- Weight capacity: up to 176 lbs
- 4D armrests
- Reclinable feature
- Metal base (27.5”)
The Casual Sport line by MaxNomic features 12 different chairs which are among the most affordable models from the brand. Even though these are entry-level chairs, they are designed nicely – in fact, every model looks quite different from another – allowing customers to choose what suits their needs most.
The MaxNomic Thunderbolt gaming chair is the model with the widest palette of colors here (five to choose from), while the others include only shades of grey and black. There is the MaxNomic OSU Casual gaming chair that is designed with red, black and white shades (two color palettes to choose from).
In terms of features, all of these chairs are equipped with 4D armrests, a metal base (27.5”) and nice stitching. As such, they are ideal for gamers that are from 5’ to 5’9” in terms of height and up to 176 lbs in terms of weight.
Pro Gaming And Office (M) Gaming Chair Series By MaxNomic: Sporty Looks & Enhanced Comfort
- Height capacity: 5’10” to 6’1”
- Weight capacity: up to 220 lbs
- 4D armrests
- Reclinable feature
- Metal base (27.5”)
This is a model that bulkier gamers would consider ideal from the MaxNomic brand – and one that (just like the previous model) is suitable for both gaming and office scenarios. Speaking of, there are 13 models, most of which adaptive to different environments.
The MaxNomic Leader gaming chair is a true leader here, coming in five different colors and nice features. The MaxNomic Cloud, on the other hand, is the most ‘prestigious’ gaming chair from this line, being priced at $499 which makes it the most expensive one in the lineup as well.
The features mimic the previous two gaming chairs. There is the 4D armrest support, sturdy metal base (27.5”), a reclinable seat as well as support of up to 6’5” in terms of height and up to 285 lbs in terms of weight, fully standing up to the Large trademark.
Office Comfort (L) Gaming Chair Series By MaxNomic:
- Height capacity: 6’2” to 6’5”
- Weight capacity: up to 285 lbs
- 4D armrests
- Reclinable feature
- Metal base (27.5”)

XL Series (XL) Gaming Chair Series By Maxnomic: Gaming Chairs
- Height capacity: 5’0” to 7’0”
- Weight capacity: up to 220 lbs
- 4D armrests
- Reclinable feature
- Metal base (31.5”)
The ‘heavyweight champion’ from MaxNomic comes in the form of the XL Series, suiting the bulkiest gamers out there. This model is the only one that offers a larger metal base (31.5”), 4D armrests, recline features as well as support up to 375 lbs and 7’0” (height) which is definitely a feature to consider if you consider yourself a ‘big’ gamer. Since this product line blends in office environments well, it doesn’t have to live up to the expectations of gamers. This is why many office enthusiasts choose it as well – and why it is one of the most popular ‘extra large’ series of office chairs out there.
There are five basic models to choose from. The MaxNomic OSU presents the red-white-black design combo, the NeedforSeat XL is the standard black gaming chair with orange stitching, while the MaxNomic TitanUS offers three different colors. The priciest among these models are the MaxNomic Team Liquid 2.0 XL and the MaxNomic Cloud9 2.0 XL, coming in at less than $600.
Which MaxNomic Gaming Chair To Buy?
If you are clueless when it comes to the question of which MaxNomic gaming chair to buy – as well as which one could be great for you – the best way to select one would be based on the weight and height capacity that every line has.
When it comes to design, there are a lot of different choices in terms of colors, stitching, holes (and no holes) as well as the overall form of each chair.
If you ask me, the best thing about the MaxNomic gaming chairs is the fact that the brand has unified its chair models in every category so that it doesn’t break the hearts of gamers (or office workers) who are searching for specific features.
The prices are generally okay and much more affordable than some of the leading brands in the field (DXRacer, Vertagear and others) which is why MaxNomic is gaining traction in the world of gaming chairs.
Whatever model you choose, you know what you are getting – and the features are generally okay for the price that you would pay. I personally find the Office Comfort category as the one that brings most value for the money – although the XL Series is definitely one that can stand huge height and weight capacities.
Conclusion
In the end, MaxNomic truly presents itself as a complete brand for gaming and workplace scenarios. No one could blame them for that – and the big number of chairs in different models and categories is a solid proof for that.
With this, it is definitely hard to rank MaxNomic against other brands in the field of gaming. For me, the MaxNomic gaming chairs are perfect for office scenarios. However, if you want that ‘extra touch’ or a bit more flair from your gaming chair, you will probably be more satisfied by checking the best gaming chair brands and their bestselling models.
I hope that this review helped you choose the best MaxNomic gaming chair – and obviously – that you are satisfied with your choice. Good luck!
