These Are the Top-Ranked Gaming Chair Brands of 2022

There are many different gaming chair brands, and if you are looking for a gaming chair, it can be difficult to know what the best brands are, and which ones should be avoided.

The best gaming chair brands are:

These are the top brands in my opinion, but it mostly depends on what you are looking for. The #6 might be better for you than the #3, so take it with a grain of salt. Also, I am going to show you other brands that are worth taking a look at, so stay tuned!

#1 DXRacer

DXRacer is the number 1 brand on the market. And it is the brand that first introduced the concept of a gaming chair. They started as a car seat manufacturer, and in 2006 they had the idea to transform these seats into office chairs. That’s how gaming chairs were born.
Nowadays, they still dominate the market. To me, they are the best gaming chair brand out there.
My favorite models from them are:

DXRacer Formula Series: A fantastic product at a very affordable price. It is perfect for slim and average gamers who want a good-looking chair without breaking the bank. It is the number one chair that I recommend for small people.
DXRacer King: A phenomenal gaming chair for larger individuals. It has premium quality material and premium features. It is also one of the first chairs that I bought.
DXRacer Tank: A huge gaming chair designed to be used by giants. The DXRacer Tank is one of the sturdiest gaming chairs you can buy right now.

#2 AKRacing

AKRacing is the number 2 brand in the gaming chair world. Although they have great products, I tend to see them as a copycat of DXRacer. That doesn’t mean I don’t like their product, but they lack some originality in my opinion.
Despite that, they also produce a few gaming chairs that I like a lot. Here are the most interesting AKRacing gaming chairs:

AKRacing Core Series EX: What makes this chair special is the fact that it is made of fabric. It has great features, 3D armrests, a 330 lbs. weight capacity. You also have the EX-Wide version, which is as you might guess bigger.
AKRacing SX Series: It is a direct upgrade of the Core EX Series. This is a quite big gaming chair. It’s a really solid option for bulky gamers.

#3 Vertagear

Vertagear is an interesting brand. They try to innovate as much as they can, to propose a new type of gaming chairs on the market. They also have some classic “old school” gaming chairs, with some innovation in them.

In terms of build quality and innovation, I think they are one of the best manufacturers out there.

The Vertagear PL4500: the first (and maybe only) RGB gaming chair on the market right now. Yep, they have done it. For all the RGB fanboy out there, this is great news for you. Of course, the PL4500 has a lot more to offer. To me, the most intriguing feature is the “coffee fiber” cover they use for this chair. From what I’ve understood, it is supposed to absorb odors and to remain free of germs and bacteria.
The Vertagear PL6000: the flagship of the brand, the PL6000 is one of the best gaming chairs on the market. It is a spacious chair with amazing build quality. It also has a weight limit of 440 lbs., which is massive for a gaming chair. This is one of the chairs that I recommend if you are a big guy.

#4 Arozzi

Arozzi is a Swedish gaming chair brand with a different approach than the previous 3 brands. They try to offer the best gaming chair for the lowest price possible. So, are they succeeding? To, a certain point yes.
They also have some premium options, such as the Arozzi Vernazza, but to be honest, I prefer what the other brands have to offer in terms of high-end gaming chair.

Torretta XL: This gaming chair is a fantastic deal for someone looking for a big and tall gaming chair. The only thing that I don’t like that much is the design, I think it is not great, but that is my personal choice.

#5 SecretLab

One of the best high-end brands on the market. SecretLab is the most premium brand that you can find. Sure, their chairs are expensive, but the quality and the comfort you get is more than excellent. To me the most impressive thing about them is the design, their chairs look fantastic. The second thing that impresses me the most is their build quality; it just blows out the competition of the water. On the other hand, if you need a very big chair, SecretLab will not have an option for you. Sorry.

The SecretLab Titan: To me, it’s the best chair of 2018. Why? Amazing build quality, slick design, very comfortable, they check off all the marks with this product.

#6 Noblechairs

Like SecretLab, Noblechairs is a high-end gaming chair brand. I like Noblechairs a lot. They have a limited, but a solid lineup with excellent build quality and the best features possible. I don’t think that they have the best design in the world, especially the Noblechairs Epic, but they do make some innovations. To be fair, they do a better job than SecretLab when it comes to the weight capacity of their chairs. So, if you want a premium brand but you also need a large and sturdy product, you will be better with Noblechairs in my opinion. This brand has become very popular among PC gamer enthusiasts, for the premium feel they have.

The Noblechairs ICON: I like the Noblechairs ICON because it features a pretty unique design. The ICON doesn’t look like a gaming chair; this is because the backrest doesn’t have the typical wings on the side. If you are not a big fan of the racing style that you find on most gaming chair, this could be a very good alternative.

#7 X-Rocker

I am not into console gaming myself. However, if that is your case and you want a gaming chair for a console, the X-Rocker is almost the only brand that can provide you what you want. To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of these types of products.

So, here you have my top 7 gaming chairs brands. I am pretty sure that if you take a look at all these brands, you will find the best chair for you. However, there are also some brands that are less popular but still have a great offer in my opinion.
So if I were you I would take a look at the top brands that I’ve listed earlier, then if you don’t find anything that you like, you can start by looking at the brands below.

Other brands that are worth taking a look at

These brands are less popular than the brands I have listed earlier, but that doesn’t mean they are bad.

GT Omega Racing

GT Omega Racing is not a new player in the industry, but they don’t seem to be very focused on gaming chairs. They also offer gaming cockpit for the fan of simulation and a lot of other products that are meant for hardcore simulation fan.
Their gaming chair offer is also solid too. But it doesn’t seem to propose something new and unique. So, I don’t see why you would buy a gaming chair from them instead of DXRacer for example.

E-win

E-win is also an interesting brand. They have a very attractive offer, as they tried to put as many features as possible in one chair for the same price. For example, you can find 4D armrest under $300 in their lineup. Something that you will not see with other brands.
That being said, they don’t have anything unique about them. The design they have are very similar to AKRacing, which is a little bit strange, to be honest. Some chairs look exactly the same.

Maxnomic

This is the brand that Linus Tech Tips uses for their employee. Maxnomic has a unique offer with a very unique look and design. I just find their catalog to be confusing. Some chairs have several options, so when you pick a chair, you have to make sure that you select the option you are looking. On the other hand, they have a lot of options, and the way you choose your chair is very clear and easy. You understand quickly which chair is good for your body type.

Cougar Armor

Cougar Armor is also interesting to look at. The design of their chairs is also unique in some ways, especially the Armor Titan series. The rest of the chairs are pretty standard in terms of design, but they have some unique looking color schemes on them. So, Cougar Armor offers 6 series of chairs, with a wide variety of features (from basic to high-end). If you like their design, I think this is a pretty solid brand.

Corsair

We all know Corsair for their memory, fan, PSU, keyboard, etc. But recently, they have tried to push their gaming chairs out onto the market. I don’t think it was a very big success, but the chairs they produced were very decent. The Corsair T2 Warrior is a good chair in my opinion, and it is worth taking a look at.

Clutch

This is the gaming chair brand used by the number one Youtuber on the planet, Pewdiepie. It is with a Clutch gaming chair that started the famous meme, “But can you do this.” They even named the chair the Pewdiepie edition.

Overall, I think this is a solid brand. They are quite expensive, but I think that the quality is also very good.

So, which gaming chair brand to choose?

First, you need to think about the budget that you have. Some brands are just too expensive for you. It also depends on if they have the size that you are looking for. If you are a very big guy, you don’t have that many options, and for the most part, they cost more than $300.

And which gaming chair brands to avoid?

I didn’t want to bomb a brand just because I don’t like it. That being said, I’ve done some serious research for this article, and if the brand is not listed here, it means either: the brand is very new, so I missed it, or I didn’t think it was good enough to be mentioned in this article.

You see, there are a lot of brands out there that are just trying to make money on the gaming chair trend without adding any real value. This is especially true with cheap chairs on Amazon.

They are not a real brand, but rather they are just a white label chair that was produced in China. To be fair, some of them are a really good deal. Because you can get a level of quality that seems very similar to premium brands (“DXRacer, AKRacing, etc.”) at half the price.

But it takes some time and research to find out which ones they are. Also, for the most part, the warranty period is only 1 year versus 2 years and more with a true brand.
